Local Neurosurgeon??

Hey Friends,

I didn’t write an update after I was hospitalized because there really wasn’t one to give. I was discharged and told to follow up with a specialist. On discharge, it was presented to me that the follow-ups would happen fairly quickly, but it’s been a long wait. I finally made it to the neuro-ophthalmologist, and they said my eye pressure is borderline high, but not like it was in my initial exam or at the hospital. They don’t know why it went down or isn’t presenting like it was. (We do. It’s an answered prayer. 🙏🏼) I went in again for some testing so they can keep monitoring it, since it is still borderline.

I finally got my upright MRI scheduled for November 2. It was a challenge to get it scheduled. The upright MRI is to try and capture if something is happening in my head with posture changes. You sit in a machine, and they take different images of your head in various positions. I remember the last time I had one, when I had to go to San Jose, it was painful.

I need prayers for tomorrow. I have an appointment with a neurosurgeon. I need a local one, and it’s very challenging to find someone willing to take on the complexity of my case. The office already kind of told us she’s not sure if she can take on my case, but she may know a surgeon who can.

I’m feeling all the anxiety of the night before an appointment.

Distracting myself with Isla by putting bows in Marlowe and Pem’s hair. They love it…🥹😂

Thank you for your continued prayer.

Shae
